This field integrates advancements in genetics, nutrition, and technology to improve vitality throughout life, shifting from treating illnesses to actively maintaining health and functional capacity.

Longevity medicine distinguishes itself from conventional medical practices through a fundamental shift in philosophy. While traditional medicine often operates reactively, addressing diseases after they manifest, longevity medicine adopts a proactive stance. It concentrates on preventing illnesses and optimizing overall health before problems arise. This approach seeks to understand aging’s biological processes to slow them down, reducing the likelihood of chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders.
